Jacquie
Having qualified and registered as an occupational therapist (OT) in the United Kingdom in 2002, Jacquie has worked within the NHS for over 15 years.
She has diverse experience as an OT working in hospitals, with outpatients and in the community. Her specialty is in community rehabilitation which challenges her to use household items and furniture as part of therapy. In addition, she spends a considerable amount of time teaching clients and their carers through therapy in the form of daily activities how to best manage their injuries, conditions and illnesses.
During her role as an OT in the community she become involved with many individuals that were not aware that they were in their menopause transition or going through it. At that point Jacquie realised she could provide teaching to better educate people as she already does in therapy.
As a menopause champion, coupled with her skills as an OT, Jacquie embarked on providing education that would empower individuals to better understand the menopause, as well as strategies and tools to better manage their menopausal journey.
Charm
Charm is a qualified medical herbalist, nutritional practitioner, and workshop facilitator who has worked for over two decades supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds on a one-to-one basis with a range of health issues.
Her area of expertise lies with women’s health, hormonal, and menopause transition. It was through Charm’s own experience that she became aware that there is more of a need for information and guidance centred around the individual, which is supportive, positive, holistic, and empowering. Moving away from the negative and inaccurate narrative that makes this normal transition often difficult and bewildering, Charm’s goal is to empower individuals through education.
